I owe an explanation to those who question my judgement when I may seem "negative" (or positive for that matter) in my critiques.

This website is one of the few sources of artistic stimulation that I have time for. I've been in college for three years now studying English, but I've always considered myself an artist. Before college, drawing/painting/photography as a whole was one of my three main forms of entertainment...and I actually would have majored in art if it wasn't for my parents and counsellors advising against it. They didn't have to push me too hard because I also enjoyed writing.

I've been here for a couple years and haven't ceased to regularly check the new additions. There's a lot of talent here. I have a few pieces I might decide to get published and hosted some day...but first I need a good bit of time. As for now I'll keep my hunger down by dabbling here and there.
